Movingly acted by both Parker and Seagers, the final coming together of the two principals is studded with loaded glances, powerful pauses, and honest responses that appropriately cap the film. And for once, it is appropriate not to tell the viewer how the film ends, except to say that its conclusion fuses both the dramatic and erotic to provide a double-barreled impact.
